Creating a Cloud Effect in After Effects

1. Create New Composition

                    Choose color

1. Create New Solid

                     Make color White. #ffffff

                     Add Effect>distort>turbulent displace

                     Change Complexity to 10.

                     Change size to 400

1. Add Effect>Noise and Grain>Fractal Noise

                     Change Blending Mode to Hard Light

1. Grab Pen Tool and Mask in cloud shape

                     Feather mask pixels to around 500

                     Change Contrast to 31.0

                     You can change cloud shape by adjusting mask shape.

Quick hack on 3d clouds (sort of)

1. Add a photo of the sky with clouds

                  Place a displacement map over the image

                  Change horizontal/vertical displacement to Luminance

                  Scale in, and mess with the quick 3d effect
